Ibrahim Oumarr Jalloh is a writer and a photographer. His first publication, "The Street Boy" is among the few that have been written about the Sierra Leone civil war and it is the first written by a Sierra Leonean living in the country. Ibrahim graduated from the University of Sierra Leone, Fourah Bay College. He is currently working for Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT) as Project Officer (Kiva Coordinator).
Written in a simple, plain and beautiful language, The Street Boy narrates the story of Sierra Leone’s eleven-year civil war. Events of the war are beautifully narrated as the protagonist moved from one place to another and as he grew from childhood to adulthood.
