I am proud to say that I am a small town girl; brought up on a farm in a very small community in New Brunswick, Canada. We left our farm when I was 10 years old and I still carry the memories of that Time Of Innocence in my heart. My short stories have allowed me to go back in time and re-capture the wonderful moments of...
The Little Girl Who Was..
that lived in that place called yesterday...
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a very small community of about 80 people or so. Looking back, my little life, in my little community was absolutely the picture of innocence and of love.
When did you first start writing?
My first poem I put together (in my head) when I was 13. I couldn't sleep and verses kept going through my mind. So in the middle of the night, I got up, found pencil and paper and wrote my first poem; called "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep".
I know we can all agree that our grandchildren are such a precious gift. I wanted to write something that could be passed down from my grandchildren to their children. Even after we are gone; this beautiful little book will be read to our generations that will follow; and most importantly; they will always know that we are never far away.
