Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The satisfaction of seen your thoughts come to life on the printed page. English was my worst subject in high school, but I'm sure my teachers would be proud of me. I've written scores of popular songs , military drum solos, and now I have five published books under my belt. I'll be eighty-years-old in August of 2016, but I'm up early every morning because I always have a new project going. Sitting around and doing nothing all day is strictly for old people. Incidentally, my definition of an old person is someone who likes to watch television and play with their false teeth.
What do your fans mean to you?
Outside of family, I've only got one real fan. I'm not much of a promoter, so I guess it's my own fault. I don't have my own website, and I don't have a blog. I really don't like the promotion angle of writing, so I guess I'll probably never sell a lot of books. I'm satisfied to just write for the enjoyment. I'm presently working on a military drum solo book and I'm up at the crack of dawn because I can't wait to get started.
