Loretta Jackson


Loretta Jackson is author of the mystery novels, Flames of Deceit, Wake of Evil and Ensnared. She has co-authored with her sister, Vickie Britton, over forty novels including adventures, westerns, and mysteries. The two travel to each setting in their stories. In their eight-book Ardis Cole Mystery Series, archaeologist Ardis Cole solves crimes in faraway locations such as Egypt, China, and Scotland. Their mystery-adventure, The Lost City of the Condor, which takes place in Peru, was a finalist in the Readers’ Favorite Book Awards. Other co-authored series include The High Country Mysteries: Murder in Black and White, Whispers of the Stones, Stealer of Horses, The Executioner's Hood, and the Luck of the Draw western series.
Loretta also enjoys writing short stories, which have appeared in the Kansas Quarterly, The Family, My Weekly, and the Writer’s Journal. The sisters are co-authors of the anthologies A Deal on a Handshake, The Bloody Knife, Killer at the Door, Mrs. Jingles and Other Tales of Horror and Suspense, and No Longer Drifting, and of the short stories, “A Blessing."
