Jacob Russell Dring

Hello. My name is Jacob Russell Dring and I am a novice author, with dreams of becoming successful in the field of horror and science-fiction. Though I currently hold no college experience past high school graduation, I am a constant learner from reading books to writing exercises and personal research. I derive most of my influence from deceased author Paul Zindel, though other inspirations come from H.P. Lovecraft and Jack Ketchum. I tend to write in the fashion of a modern screenplay, in hopes that the reader will better capture the events in the book as if watching a movie. I am a horror aficionado, a military sci-fi connoisseur, an experienced poet, and a young man of endless imagination. While I still have much to learn in the art of writing, I hope that I've already made an effective leap towards recognition. And as time progresses, I will continue to learn from criticism both good and bad, but no matter what is said--I will always have the insatiable urge to write.
