  • Dance Into the Dark: A Living in the Shadows Novel on Nov. 04, 2012

I don't usually write reviews but I have to give praise & thanks for such an amazing story. I was drawn into this mysterious shadow world from the first chapter & really did not want to leave when I reached the end. The flow of the story was strong, the right amount of detail given to scenes, people & backgrounds without feeling it was too little or too much, and the character development & growth seemed natural. I'm eager for the next book & can't wait to see the next level you take your readers to. As another reviewer mentioned, I hope to see interactions from Dance into the Dark, even if they are cameos that help to move the plot forward. Thank you for a great read!
  • Hope on a Paige (Tales from the Dead Letter Office) on Nov. 14, 2012

Such an amazing story. I was ensnared from the beginning and while I usually pass by short stories, I'm so glad I stopped to read this one. Well done! I look forward to reading more.

Awesome book. I enjoyed the story but only two things kept me from giving a five star review. First was the typos. In some places the names of the characters changed. One such spot was the kitchen scene towards the end of the book when Wren's name was written as Gemma, who was in a different room at the time. Also, spots where homophones occurred (spear [a weapon] used instead of spare [verb meaning to hold back or save from experiencing]). Second was the backstory among the characters. I felt like I was missing quite a bit of the established history, especially between the main characters & the supporting cast. What part did Gemma play before she met Mason? How much longer did the war last once Mason made his decision? How long have the other couples known each other? I'm not looking for a lot of detail, but while there were a few flashbacks I felt there could have been just a tad bit more fleshing out of the history they shared. This story grabbed me from the start & I really didn't want to be let go. I would love to see more of this world! Thank you so much for sharing!

Wow. I was truly absorbed & blown away as I read this story, especially when I reached the end. I will be on pins & needles waiting on the next book because I am certain it will be just as wonderful a read as this was. Thank you for such a great story!
  • Dream Whispers on July 10, 2013

I absolutely loved this book! Being a music major myself, I devour books that center around music & this was a massive enjoyment! I hope there is another book to follow this one because I know there is more to Kayde & Becca's story to be heard.
  • Scorched Treachery on Aug. 22, 2013

Amazing! Rebecca has drawn me even deeper into her spellbinding world with this book. Told from Wyn & Ilyan's POV, the gaps & blanks are filled in from Eyes of Ember. I enjoy books that are written in first person because I'm not just superimposing my feelings but getting to see the events & the emotions as they are experienced by the character. At the end of the book, I found my heart aching for Jos, Ry & Wyn... along with a cautious hope for Ilyan. With every line, paragraph & chapter that sped by my greedy eyes the anticipation kept ramping up higher. I still have a heady thrum of anticipation left from the end & eagerly look forward to Soul of Flame's release in December.
  • Passion and Deceit on Aug. 23, 2013

Eagerly waiting for the next part.
  • Pure Love of the Fallen on Aug. 26, 2013

Great & powerful short story. I loved the characters of Ramiel & Alma. I would have loved to have seen just a little more from Alma's perspective. While the ending was bittersweet, I truly hope to see more of these two.
  • It's in his DNA on Sep. 03, 2013

Wow, what a ride! I absolutely love Gabe & Abby. Their story is not the typical slice-of-life story where there is enough upheaval to keep interest. Emmie Lou has truly given breath & life to these main characters & the people who support them. I laughed & cried right along with them, that was how wonderfully spellbound I was by this book. I cannot wait until the next part of the journey!
  • Stone Cold (Music City Moguls 1) on Oct. 08, 2013

I love it when an author has that knack for drawing the reader into their world nearly from the first few pages. I felt like I was on the emotional roller-coaster right along with the characters. Ms. Douglas managed to fit everyone into the story seamlessly, backstories & all. I laughed & cried & FELT right along with Cass & Drake. I eagerly await the second book in the series.
  • Beautiful Musician on Nov. 26, 2013

I'm very strict on prequels because I really want it to make me continue on with a series in progress. The story between Abby & Seven just about broke my heart. Then it grabbed me, shook me & refused to let me go until I wanted to cry. Then after reading the teaser for the first full book, I'm so like the proverbial fish on a hook. Now I will be desperately waiting on the entire series to see how the journey continues. 4.5 stars! I don't know what caused the formatting glitch but the text kept changing from regular to bold every other page. That was the only thing that kept me from giving a full 5 stars.
  • Life in the Palace (Book 1 - The Palace Saga) on March 01, 2014

I loved this world that Catherine Green created. I happily lost myself in the life & deep love between Chloe & Seth as well as the other people in their daily lives. The story is told mainly from Chloe's view, though it isn't the only one. I loved the attention to detail, the fleshing out of the world around them, the obvious growth of all the characters... Even the heartbreaking choices made at the end. Book two I cannot wait to read!
