Dance Into the Dark: A Living in the Shadows Novel
on Nov. 04, 2012
I don't usually write reviews but I have to give praise & thanks for such an amazing story. I was drawn into this mysterious shadow world from the first chapter & really did not want to leave when I reached the end. The flow of the story was strong, the right amount of detail given to scenes, people & backgrounds without feeling it was too little or too much, and the character development & growth seemed natural. I'm eager for the next book & can't wait to see the next level you take your readers to. As another reviewer mentioned, I hope to see interactions from Dance into the Dark, even if they are cameos that help to move the plot forward. Thank you for a great read!

Such an amazing story. I was ensnared from the beginning and while I usually pass by short stories, I'm so glad I stopped to read this one. Well done! I look forward to reading more.

Wow. I was truly absorbed & blown away as I read this story, especially when I reached the end. I will be on pins & needles waiting on the next book because I am certain it will be just as wonderful a read as this was. Thank you for such a great story!

I absolutely loved this book! Being a music major myself, I devour books that center around music & this was a massive enjoyment! I hope there is another book to follow this one because I know there is more to Kayde & Becca's story to be heard.

I love it when an author has that knack for drawing the reader into their world nearly from the first few pages. I felt like I was on the emotional roller-coaster right along with the characters. Ms. Douglas managed to fit everyone into the story seamlessly, backstories & all. I laughed & cried & FELT right along with Cass & Drake. I eagerly await the second book in the series.

I'm very strict on prequels because I really want it to make me continue on with a series in progress. The story between Abby & Seven just about broke my heart. Then it grabbed me, shook me & refused to let me go until I wanted to cry.
Then after reading the teaser for the first full book, I'm so like the proverbial fish on a hook. Now I will be desperately waiting on the entire series to see how the journey continues.
4.5 stars! I don't know what caused the formatting glitch but the text kept changing from regular to bold every other page. That was the only thing that kept me from giving a full 5 stars.
Life in the Palace (Book 1 - The Palace Saga)

I loved this world that Catherine Green created. I happily lost myself in the life & deep love between Chloe & Seth as well as the other people in their daily lives.
The story is told mainly from Chloe's view, though it isn't the only one. I loved the attention to detail, the fleshing out of the world around them, the obvious growth of all the characters... Even the heartbreaking choices made at the end.
Book two I cannot wait to read!
