James Gault

When I read over my writing, it seems to me that it is all about politics. I like to think I am humourist, trying to make make people laugh and at least, I hope, making them smile. But the target of my wit, such as it is, is the immense stupidity of the people who run our society, and the catalogue of their failures. And yet I don't even know if I have the right to criticise, having never been a political activist myself.

I want to encourage people, either individually or as groups, to become activists in promoting international cooperation and breaking down the unfortunately resistant barriers of xenophobia, racism and indifference.

Nor does the 'help' she gets from her somewhat cynical English tutor serve to temper the mayhem. Righting wrongs with Tania comes with considerable collateral damage.
