James is a long-time science geek. Early in his life, he became incredibly interested in all things science and nature. From that point on, he embarked on a knowledge quest in the life and physical sciences. After entering college, a chance opportunity to work in a research lab reeled him in tighter. With degrees in biology, chemistry, and science education research through the Ph.D. level, James has spent 25 years in some form of research ranging from the feeding habits of woodland salamanders, to the activation of "packaged" genes in vitro, to the interaction of an individual's epistemological framework as related to learning controversial science topics.

Harness the Stars is a humorous tale rooted in sex, drugs, and rock and roll. It’s the year 3307 and the Earth-based rock band Simmonhead Fred has arrived on Farel. Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a successful plan has been hatched to steal a piece of the crown jewels from the Emperor of the planet Brem. Due to a series of strange events, the band ends up with the item in their possession.
