Peter lives in England and is just hoping for something interesting to do. Then one day Mrs. Kipple gives him a surprise. He soon finds himself stepping through a broom cupboard and into another world of magic, mystical creatures, adventure, and evil. Soon Peter meets all sorts of strange creatures—some friendly and some not—and learns about an evil witch named Cirinian. As he continues in his adventure, Peter finds himself looking for a magic scroll and on a quest to destroy the evil Cirinian.
I found this book to very enjoyable. It reminded me some of Alice in Wonderland, but is different in its own light. As a juvenile fiction book, I think kids will find it interesting and thoroughly enjoy it. Many of the characters were developed and each had their own quirks. Though my favorite was the mouse, Mr. Twindle Twoondle. I got lost in the story and didn’t even notice the time spent reading.
I do recommend this book for anyone who wants a light-hearted, fun read.
