Janet Van Gorden

Ever since I could write in Kindergarten, oh so many years ago, I knew I would someday write a book. Under my bed is a cardboard box of all the brainstormed ideas and attempts that I had made over the years to write something that would eventually turn into a story. Now I can retire my box of ideas, for I have finally accomplished my dream. His Second Chance is very near and dear to my heart.

Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I started truly writing shortly after my fortieth birthday. Before that I had years of practice, writing snippets of ideas that I kept in a box, which dated as far back as my early years in elementary school. Being an author was a dream I always wanted to fulfill. I am so grateful for my husband's prompting that finally made me take the leap of faith. My first novel, His Second Chance, will always be my favorite.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not trying to squeeze some time out of my daily schedule for writing, I am usually doing several things at once at any given time. As a mother of three very active children, I am chauffeur for all the sports activities, a teaching substitute at my children's elementary school, a Sunday School teacher and maid! But I love all my jobs, and wouldn't have things any other way. Okay, well maybe I would add a little more writing time.
