Janie is a four-time bestselling author, a mother, wife, and business owner.
Janie S. Monares resides in Dallas, Texas with her family. The inspiration Janie received from writing this trilogy came from when her ex-husband was stationed in the Navy at Moffett Federal Airfield in Mountain View, California during the 90s. Her ex-husband had just come back from a deployment in Japan during 1997 and was told from one of his female co-workers that the men took to the kindness of prostitutes who hung around the hotel where they had stayed. Being as furious as ever, Janie went straight to the squadron s commanding officer and confronted him about it. His exact words were, What happens on Det stays on Det. That chilled Janie to the core. That was the phrase that broke the camel s back of her future ex-husband and her already rocky marriage. After ending her four year marriage, Janie joined the Navy herself. While at the reserve center, she was speaking with a female co-worker who told her that she couldn t wait to go on board an aircraft carrier for six months because she wanted to prostitute herself out to the sailors to make extra money while onboard. That s where Janie s story came into play. After interviewing people who were and are currently serving in the Navy, she compiled all of the interviews and created her own story into this fictional trilogy that is based on some true events.
