Jan Washburn

Growing up in Plymouth County, Mass., Jan Washburn was making up stories before she was old enough to write them down. She completed her first novel when she was in ninth grade, borrowing most of her ideas from Louisa May Alcott.

Jan and her personal hero, Jack, who loved both warm weather and swimming, moved to Florida. They have three children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Jan enjoyed teen-agers when she was teaching junior high school and has three published novels for young adults. Now out of touch with teens, she is writing for the inspirational market in her favorite genre, romantic suspense.
