Well... people have been telling me to put down the camera and use a pen to express myself instead. I'm not sure if they're telling me I'm not so good with the heavy glass thing or if the pen is what suits me. I've been tag-lining myself "Veteran • Artist • Writer • Photo-er" for a while now and I guess it's high time to begin filling the last 25% of the claim.
What am I doing with the pen (keyboard): two collections of shorts. One, Dream Daggers And Imaginary Friends, is a collection of my ridiculous and vivid dreams. The other, NakedThoughts, is something else... vignettes? An exercise in mindfulness? It's hard to label that one. It is funny, though. They tell me it is so.

What do you read for pleasure?
Oh man... I'm an epic fantasy nerd. As in- I'm reading the entire Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan for the second time. I'm on book nine at the moment (6-15-17 midnight).
However, I feel like I should be educating myself in turns. I rotate science, philosophy, and non-fiction stories into my reading (listening, I'm an Audible addict) so that I can tell myself that I'm taking care of my brain. Science Set Free, The Rise of Superman (yeah- nonfiction and worth looking into), Why Does The World Exist, The Edge of Physics, and a few self-development books are always on my mind.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Truthfully, I'm a terrible reader. I read at a glacial pace. A glacier would tease me for being slow. I'm an e-listener. In 2016, I spent more money on books on audio than I did at the movies.
The book and series "Naked Thoughts" will be a compilation of vignettes, written in real time, of my experiences as I travel and live life observing the world intentionally. There is an air of nihilism and abstraction about them. An air of a wandering mind that is cynical, introspective, and observant. An air of humor in the knowledge that the world is a comedy, if not the laugh out loud kind. When the is completed it will include a dramatic photograph reenacting scene for each Naked Thought mirroring its tone and mood. I am sharing these vignettes story by story with you to keep me inspired and to keep my feet moving and the wheels turning.
Naked Thoughts is a collection of vignettes written in real time with an air of nihilism and comedy and abstraction. The internal runaway train that is each Naked Thought entry takes place in locations around the world. In many ways, each is an exercise in mindfulness and a scoring of the world as I perceive it, not exactly how it is.
