Jasper Burns is the author and illustrator of many books dealing with history and natural science. His nonfiction titles include "Great Women of Imperial Rome" (Routledge, 2006) as well as six books about fossils and fossil collecting (e.g. "Fossil Collecting in the Mid-Atlantic States" (Johns Hopkins University Press, 1991). He is also the author of a reference to late Medieval Irish pennies, two books of poetry, and both novels and screenplays about the ancient Roman emperor Tiberius and his first wife Vipsania and about Bulla Felix (the “Roman Robin Hood)”. Mr. Burns lives in Waynesboro, Virginia.
