I was enjoying the story, even with the continual political jabs, which admittedly did date it considerably, but then... it climaxed and ended a'la "The Lady or the Tiger?" Very disappointing. It felt contrived, like the whole story had been a waste of my energy reading it. Too bad, I really enjoyed it up until the "end."
  • The Shadow Worlds (The SCI'ON Trilogy #1) on Sep. 03, 2010

Very enjoyable, a bit slow and tedious at first with the character introductions, but once really I got into it I could hardly put it down. I love the breezy fantasy and sci-fi mixture. I look forward to reading more from this author.
  • Djinnx'd (The Tamar Black Saga #1) on Sep. 14, 2010

I absolutely loved this book, from the prologue to the epilogue, I really enjoyed it. Sly & rich fare, the breezy prose belies its true intensity. As other reviews have noted, the editing is not without flaw, but really, it was no big deal. I am craving more from the Nicola Rhodes.
  • Reality Bites (The Tamar Black Saga #2) on Oct. 06, 2010

Fun, breezy, and refreshing. I love the wry jabs at mythologies, and the characters.
