Jelle Peters is a legal philosopher and historian, with a Master's degree in legal theory from Utrecht University.

He has been writing nonfiction for over ten years. His latest book, World 2.0: A History from Enlightenment to Terrorism and Beyond, looks at decisive events in modern history since 1776.

The Dog and its Day is his first novel.
