I wrote the novel, Condemned to Freedom, a mystery set in the serene Pennsylvania Dutch countryside. In this "twisting tale that keeps readers guessing until the end," a local police chief and a state trooper work their way through a web of politics, drugs, and deceit in a race to stem the rising body count. Along the way, they meet a strangely gifted counselor who forces them to face their demons, as well as the existential one we all face: the personal responsibility for every decision we make.

In Larson's Point, Jerry Kilgore has written a fast-paced and utterly engrossing detective novella that had me ripping through his twisting, turning plot until its satisfying conclusion (one that leads to more adventures of Kilgore's protagonist, Jay Tucker, I hope). Imagine the classic film Chinatown boiled down to it's noirish essence, a la Raymond Chandler or Mickey Spillane, and you have an idea of what's in store for you in Larson's Point.
