Jacqueline Dooley

Biography

Jacqueline Dooley studied English Literature at Stony Brook University and has blogged avidly for many years. From 2007 through 2009 she wrote a weekly column titled, The Self-Employed Mom, for the Poughkeepsie Journal (a small New York paper). From August 2012 through the present, she has blogged about her young daughter's battle with cancer at www.healingana.com.

Her first published novel, Doorways To Arkomo, was inspired by the incredible experience of reaching out to family, friends and community through her writing - and getting so much in return.

In May 2014, DOORWAYS TO ARKOMO - a novel that features an 11-year-old girl with cancer - became available for purchase on Amazon and Smashwords in eBook and paperback formats. One hundred percent of profit from the sales of Doorways to Arkomo for the first year after publication will be donated to organizations that help children with devastating illnesses.
