Joanne Durann’s imagination has always been one of her best gifts. From the time she was a small child growing up in Croydon she would tell stories to either get herself out of trouble or to amuse her friends and family. As one of four children who went to college, after graduating from Harry S. Truman High School, Joanne went on to attend Salem International University for Criminal Justice. She also felt a need to use her imagination so she studied drama and theater she was also a DJ and news manager for the school radio station WITB.
Joanne currently lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband, her two children, and numerous pets. She works for a local school district and in the summer she uses her imagination to teach drama for a local camp.
Joanne has always loved mythology and things that are not easily explained, from Vampires and Werewolves, to the Bermuda Triangle, Joanne’s curiosity always made her wonder how they could fit in or live with us if they did exist. In writing her first book “Between Shadows” she took a simple news item to create a strong character and a world full of the mythological creatures she loves. With her love of Vampires and Seasons she continues the story to add everything that is possible for them to become real in our world, and real to her readers.
