I loved Lucky 7 and I love this book. The crew feel like old friends and it's so fascinating seeing the addition of Ocho. I enjoyed seeing how their relationships are all developing with each other now that Elena has been on the crew for longer, and the big steps Sasha and Elena take in their relationship. It was less frantic than I remember Lucky 7 being, but the stakes are higher this time around and I enjoyed the different pace. I think it suits where the crew are at and what's happening in the story, emotionally speaking. Magdon also has a knack for writing the hottest sex scenes ever and she does not disappoint on this front. I'm also loving how diverse Magdon's books continue to be. It's full of Spanish and color and different gender identities and expressions and it's so healing, actually. The best thing is that I can expect another book in this series and I'm so excited for that!

This book is a beautiful romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. I thought that the way Shard stumbles into her new life, making the same mistakes again and again, was painful but also real. The ending was bittersweet and open ended. Something I especially loved was Emilia's journey towards understanding her sexuality, realizing she wanted to be with Shard, and how they got together.
