Jennifer Vandever

Biography

A native of Portland, Oregon, Vandever is a graduate of Columbia University's MFA program in film. She is the Co-writer and Associate Producer of the independent film JUST ONE TIME and the author of the novel THE BRONTE PROJECT, published by Random House (US) and Simon & Schuster (UK) and translated into Spanish, Italian, and Polish. Her second novel, AMERICAN TANGO was published in 2016.

Her work has appeared in First City, Redbook, The Village Voice, and The New York Times. She has optioned numerous screenplays to both independent and studio-based producers. A current project, OCTOBER SURPRISE is currently under option.

She's an adjunct professor teaching courses in Screenwriting, Screwball & Romantic Comedy, Writing the Romantic Comedy, and Women in Film for Emerson College's Los Angeles program. She divides her time between Portland and Los Angeles where she lives with her husband.
