Greetings! My name is Jennifer Renee Word. In September, 2009, I made the choice to launch myself into a career in writing. Before that date, I had my hands full with various part and full time jobs, and two beautiful children. I knew I wanted to be a writer before my daughter was born, but I put my career on hold for 11 years in order to be the type of mom I wanted to be, and also to be the type of writer I wanted to be. Finally, on September 1, 2009, I reached a point in my life where I felt I could devote the time and energy I knew I needed, in order to truly write well, and NOT completely neglect my family. I believe it was all well worth the wait. From September 1, 2009, to May 1, 2010, I wrote 5 novels and several short stories. The grand count total for the 9-month school year topped 400,000 words. I had a lot of stories to tell! I’m settling down now and finding my voice. Once I felt I had a decent amount of content to share with the public, I decided it was time to launch Fiction Spook.
