John Cook


John Cook is a retired business executive and amateur historian and writer. His two previous books are highly regarded family histories. Two journal articles have been published. "Shropshire Lads: The Lewis Brothers of St. Louis and Boston," was published as a four part article in the Journal of the Missouri State Genealogical Association. "The Case of the Falsified Resumé" was published in Minnesota History magazine. The latter was awarded first prize in the annual “Excellence in Writing” competition of the International Society of Family History Writers and Editors, and is available online at
