Jim McCarthy

Jim McCarthy believes he has been stung by bees more times than anyone he has ever met...

Jim's love of stories and storytelling goes back a long way. Reading at 2 years old, he read stories again and again and then retold them to himself in different orders and with different endings after he had finished reading them.

Today, Jim is the co-founder and CEO of an internet-based company called Goldstar (www.goldstar.com) that sells tickets to all kinds of great live shows, including sports, theatre, comedy, and music.

But his loves of stories and telling stories has never stopped. In fact, he not only uses story telling to amuse and teach his own two children, but he uses it as a management technique as well.

Jim lives in Pasadena, California, and was stung by hundreds of bees at once on the island of Guam in 1973.
