Lane Gorden writes mystery fiction, featuring forensic engineer, MacKenzie Cleyborn. The Desert Has No Memory is the first book in the MacKenzie Cleyborn series.

Lane Gorden is the pen name of Elaine “Jinx” Kuehn, a civil and environmental engineer. Her career has included improving highway and water system infrastructure, while ensuring that environmental requirements were met. Favorite projects include those improving culverts enabling salmon to swim back upstream to spawn. She loves hiking, biking and music so readers won’t be surprised to learn that she lives in Portland, Oregon.
