Double the romance, double the fun! This book had 2 romances for the price of one. Each was temporarily derailed due to misunderstandings and trust issues. They tied in well with each other, and with the sub-plot of an aging doctor coming to grips with the fact that he needs to retire. Our first couple is Tim and Tara. Childhood sweethearts, these two are soul-mates. Nobody else has ever come close to filling the void brought about by a misunderstanding 5 years ago. Tim has just finished his residency and is ready to begin a fantastic job at a world-class hospital in the big city. But he's come back home to convince his father that it's time to retire, while refusing to replace him, giving up his own dreams. Once he discovers that his true love has also returned home, however, he begins to look at his quaint home town with newly appreciative eyes. As Tim & Tara are finding their way back to each other, their best friends Jack & Rebecca have hit a road bump in their own relationship... and just after becoming engaged, too! But both stories come through in the end, as we see not one, but two happy endings. I absolutely LOVED this book, and strongly recommend that you try it yourself.
