What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I just love getting the ideas out of my head and on to the screen. There's also something magical about reading your own words back and finding them really engaging yourself. I often find myself nodding away and grinning, and I guess that's because I am my own ideal reader.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I’ve read so many self-help books and I love them. But, I often find that they are long and meandering, become repetitive, and spend far too much time talking about all of the wonderful things that the author has achieved. Although they would typically leave me feeling inspired, I would often walk away thinking, well I’m never going to achieve that! Also, in many cases, they would be missing a clear framework for action, and so I would simply continue as before. But, supporting people to take action and actually change is why I pursued this career in the first place. So, it made perfect sense for me to put these strategies in a book, which is fun and practical, to make the process accessible to as many women as want it. And get them actually taking action, rather than just reading about the potential results.
