Jodi Taylor is, and always has been, a History nut. Her disinclination to get out of bed for anything after 1485 can only be overcome by massive amounts of chocolate, and sometimes, if it's raining - not even then.
She wanted to write a book about Time-Travel that wasn't just - 'Oh, my goodness! We seem to be in Pompeii. I do hope it's not volcano day!' but focussed more on the actual day to day mechanics of a Time-Travel organisation in its infancy. And the nutters who work there.
Thus was born Just One Damned Thing After Another, taken from the quotation History is Just One Damned Thing etc. (She has also made a mental note to ensure any subsequent books have much shorter titles.)
The sequel is entitled History is ... A Symphony of Echoes and -if her chocolate eroded arteries can hold up that long - the third book will be A Second Chance.
Finding it difficult to write about herself, she has attempted to overcome the problem by describing herself as tall, incredibly beautiful, intelligent, witty, not tongue-tied in any way, technically proficient and who adores small, badly-behaved children and politicians.
