Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in England but moved at an early age to Scotland. That shift to the cold and wet helped develop my sense of humour, a necessary survival tool in Glasgow in the 1960s.
When did you first start writing?
Aged about nine. At school I was fortunate enough to be encouraged by my teacher.
