John M. Osborne is an emeritus professor of History from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He is the author of "The Voluntary Recruiting Movement in Britain, 1914-1916 (Garland, 1982) and "Forgotten Abolitionist: John A.J. Creswell of Maryland" with Christine Bombaro (House Divided Project, 2015). John holds a BA from Rice University and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
