Johnny Q. / Ivan Dexter Gogue III / Pointer

Johnny Q. Gogue, III
Johnny’s greatest aspiration in life has always been to be able to lie on the beach, spend time with his family, and write… and not necessarily in that order.
Johnny started writing when he was very young. His first story, Toy Soldier, was published in UCSD’s writing outreach program for San Diego city youth. The short story was his first endeavor in the Sci-Fi genre—it showcased his first-person narrative and strong visual-writing style. In later years, Johnny’s writings increased to include poetry, playwriting, short stories, and juvenile fiction. His Toastmasters speech, The Oath of the Soldier, appears online at
It was at work where he met his future partner and collaborator, Ivan Dexter Pointer. Dex approached Johnny with an idea that fostered the beginnings of The Adventures of the FinTastic Travelers. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Johnny is married and lives in California.

Ivan Dexter Pointer
Ivan “Dexter” Pointer, known to his friends as “Dex,” was born in Myrtle Beach, SC. He gradually migrated west where he spent the majority of his youth heavily involved in sports, and ultimately attended Utah State University on a full football scholarship. He graduated USU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
Dex had a dream many years ago that transformed into an idea. That idea evolved into the Eon Entertainment Group, a company that got its start when it pitched an idea to several embroidery companies in Logan, UT to sell shark designs on the Internet. Many other companies shared in his vision, and Eon Entertainment Group’s accomplishments then grew to include shark-related merchandise, a screenplay, a short story, children’s books, poems, and a pitch bible for an animated series.
Ivan Dexter Pointer’s hobbies include movies, reading, writing, and spending time with his family. He currently resides in Northern California with his wife and two beautiful children.
