Smashwords Interview

What's the story behind your latest book?
Mistress Delia and john meet a new F/m couple and get to know each other. The story is really setting up a series so it is a little slow moving but the characters are well defined.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy - you have to love a woman who goes to such ends for love, besides it made me cry.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - a perfect story about cancer and living with it. Anyone who has been there will attest to the veracity of even the most maudlin elements of the story.

The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway - As a first novel and a story about loss and the impossibilities that life throws at us there are few equals to this story.

Dune by Frank Herbert - I've read this book at least a dozen times and never tire of the wonderful complexity of the story and Herbert manages to carry it forward through the next five books.

The Horses Mouth by Joyce Cary - The portrait of an artist as a rake, thief and above all true to himself. It is what every artist should be but few have the balls.
