Jolene MacFadden

I am a single mom of 4 grown children with 2 grandchildren. After working in the medical office field for over 25 years I decided to retire and hit the road with my mom. We were traveling around the state of Florida in an old class A RV visiting and volunteering at various Florida State Parks.

The RV finally died on us and we had to stay in one place. Now I am writing more books, helping other writers self-publish and market their books as well as create handcrafted bead and wire jewelry and accessories that I offer for sale on my own online store. I still create websites and write blog articles on a variety of different subjects on a wide variety of websites.

I enjoy reading mystery books of all types as well as science fiction/fantasy stories and have been an avid reader since before my teens. I am currently working on a couple of historical novels one purely fiction and one more of a historical saga of events happening in the recently renovated Blanche Hotel in Lake City Florida.

Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
Some of my favorite authors are Nora Roberts and her alternate personality J.D. Robb, Iris Johansen, Dorothy Gilman, JA Jance, Sue Grafton and a few others. I love a good murder mystery, suspense thriller and occasionally a good romantic suspense. I have tried a few other writers through the years but the above are probably the ones I read and read again.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Everyday is a blessing and full of promise. No matter how many problems you have most everything looks a little better the next day. We enjoy volunteering in the Florida State Parks and look forward to each new assignment every three to four months.
