The Odd Job

This is the first book in a series that is, so far, a great romp. The may have described it as a "burger and fries" project but it's a Kobe beef burger on brioche and the fries are hand-cut and anointed with truffle salt.
Better yet, it's utterly unpredictable. There's a solid plot but you just can't tell what is going to happen next or exactly how the characters will respond to it. Just awesome and fun!
