The Man Behind the Curtain
Deserted by happiness long ago, David James sets out on a quest to find the only person who truly loved him, his long lost sister Suzi. More than her company, however, he needs something even greater: If he was going to learn to live again, he needed to know how she escaped their abusive mother and how--with only a Superman t-shirt and worn-out towel for a cape--she'd taught him how to fly.
After the day Mary's Mommy fell down, things just weren't the same. She started talking about strange people under the ground and even cried at church of all places. But when Mary suspects that something bad has taken over her Mommy's soul, something has to be done, just like God says to.
Because more than anything else, Mary wants to protect her baby brother. Even if he isn't born yet.
