Joseph Stuber

Biography

A lifetime of successes and failures shapes one’s view of the world, and Joseph has had his share of both. After graduating from college in 1972 with a BS degree in Business, Joseph began a career in the investment world as a research analyst. A combination of formal training along with a lifetime of continuing education combined with a passionate curiosity to understand the world from an economic perspective gives him a unique window of vision into the world of economics, politics, and human behavior.

In 2012, at 62 years of age, Joseph for the first time decided to begin publishing some of his research. His second published essay - published in Futures and Options Magazine - was awarded a spot in the 10 Most Read Futures Articles of 2012 coming in at number 7. In December of 2012 he published The Fiscal Cliff Catch – 22 and received this comment in his message box from a contemporary of his in the field of investing:

"My experience in this realm permits me to recognize EXCELLENCE in those with similar mindsets. This is the first time in a decade or two that I can state something like this: YOUR "CATCH 22 ARTICLE IS THE MOST COHERENT AND INCISIVE WRITING THAT I HAVE EVER READ. TO ADD COHERENCY TO OUR CURRENT FISCAL AND MONETARY DYSFUNCTION IS A WORK OF ART. YOU HAVE MADE A TREMENDOUS CONTRIBUTION TO THE CONCEPT OF CLARITY."

In September of 2014 Joseph published Anatomy of a Market Bubble. Two reader comments are cited as validation that Joseph does take his research seriously, and that he applies a process of critical analysis to the subject matter that falls neatly into the category of out-of-the-box-thinking:

"It has been 2 months since your last post, but it was well worth the wait. The research is exhausting, and will take some time to absorb. Your many readers will benefit enormously."

"Brilliant... thanks for sharing your research with us. I wonder if the army of Ph.Ds. at the Fed ever tracked all this great stuff that you highlight. If not why not?"

In “Betting on Jesus”, Joseph brings to this project that same dedication to exhaustive research, and that same passion for out-of-the-box critical thinking that has brought him to the attention of those in the investing community. As Doug Anderson, his collaborator on this book noted in an email, Joseph’s approach to “Betting on Jesus” has the same hallmarks of objective, thorough, and original analysis that he has demonstrated in his essays on markets and economics.
