Ann Bayah was born and reared on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Her love of putting pen to paper started when she was a young girl. She never considered writing as a career option, but after completing her post graduate work, she toyed with the idea of writing prose and short stories as a hobby. She is still a Maryland resident.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Goodreads, magazine listings, or word of mouth.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
As I recall, my first writing effort for others to consume was not a book, but a play instead.
Fractured weaves a tapestry of atypical events in the lives of a precocious African-American girl (Lindie) and her family in a fictional, rural town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore during the 1960s. Lindie’s fervent wish is to escape from her family’s country lifestyle and the trappings associated with owning a beer tavern in a backwoods community. Oddly enough, Lindie’s confidant is her journal.
