John Morse completed a naval career as a surface warfare officer that included worldwide deployments and command of two surface combatants followed by a career in the domestic and international business world. He leverages a wealth of personal experience and imagination into his first novel, Half Staff 2018.
He has written professional articles and book reviews for Proceedings, the Naval War College Review, Providence Journal, Virginian Pilot and Ledger Star, Rhode Island Magazine, and Library Journal. Editorial credits include: Navies and Foreign Policy by Ken Booth and Military Power in a Free Society by Henry Eccles.
