Smashwords Interview

What's the story behind your latest book?
I love the concept of time travel. Not so much the technical jargon behind it, but the possibilities to craft a tale that relates to all of us. Imagine what you would do, or what would be done to you if your timeline was altered. Enter Arthur Reed, an elderly man whose time has come. At least that was his plan until a freak lightning storm altered his future, and past. Now he is literally running out of time to save himself and those and a family member who died decades earlier.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I started writing novels 16 years ago. That led to writing screenplays. Well, actually adapting my novels into screenplays. Then Novellas, etc. A writer writes first and foremost for themselves. It's like a cat that just needs to cough up that hairball; it's going to be painful at first, but ultimately you will feel relieved and happier. Once you finish typing THE END, THE BEGINNING of seeking Agents, Publishers, etc feels like 100 more hairballs. Eventually one has to decide what really matters; sharing your work with the world or waiting for the day that the phone will ring (or really, the email will arrive) and someone is dying to make you famous and rich. If you are still trying to only go that route, best of luck! And give them my number and email if they do.
