Jasmine Renner

Dr. Renner is a Fulbright Specialist scholar, an international speaker, author, educator and consultant. She is currently a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at East Tenseness State University. She is the founder and CEO of Cross Cultural Leadership Network, a global leadership consultancy services, specializing in eLearning and mobile learning training, coaching and mentoring in Africa, Asia and North America.
A native of Sierra Leone, she practiced law as an attorney specializing in Comparative International Law and General Legal practice before immigrating to the United States. She teaches Policy Analysis, Leadership Studies, and Law for Organizational Leaders, Higher Education Law and Small Group Leadership, at the Clemmer College of Education at East Tennessee State University.

She is the author of five books, (including a text book on Social Media and the Law) and has published numerous peer- reviewed refereed journal articles and several book chapters on Leadership, Creativity, Social Media and Higher Education. Recently she was awarded a Fulbright Specialists Scholar Award by the United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board in Washington DC. The Fulbright Program is America’s premiere flagship international educational exchange activity and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She is also the receipient of the 2014 Maxine Smith Fellowship award and the 2014 Clemmer College of Education Outstanding Faculty Research award. She is two-term recipient of the PEO International Peace Scholarship award and also a recipient of the "Shanklin Excellency Outstanding International Scholar Award. In 2013, she was awarded the 2013 Excellency of presentation and the Best Paper award by the International Conference on Higher Education Administration and the Clemmer College of Education Award for Diversity at East Tennessee State University. She is married to Sylvester Renner (Manager of Information Technology, Medical College at East Tennessee State University) and has a five year old son, Daniel Denzel Renner. They currently reside in Johnson City, TN.USA.
