Judy Greenan

Biography

Judy Greenan was born in Canada into a family of professional artists. She began drawing and being acknowledged for her sense of color as early as kindergarten. Her studies took her to the University of Colorado where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Following college, she became a Corporate Wellness Consultant for companies including Hewlett Packard. Drawn back to her art, she left her first career and went to the Art Students League of Denver to study art for five years. In 2000, she graduated from Quang Ho’s Master class and began her second professional career as an oil painter. “I consider myself an expressive impressionist painter with a mission to bring more light and beauty into the world. My intention with my work is to engage the viewer and elicit a soulful, heartfelt response.” Her work has been featured in publications such as Southwest Art and American Cowboy. Judy currently resides in Boulder, Colorado with her husband, Greg, her mother Peggy and three lovable furry family members, Vincent and Theo Van Dogh, and Rosie.
She is committed to volunteering and has served on numerous non-profit boards. She loves animals, hiking and being in nature. Judy wrote Journey to Hope with the hope that her personal experience with PTSD will help pave the road to others toward healing.
