Robert, a keen young time-travelling historian from the year 2361 AD, is out of his depth. His mission is to spend six weeks learning about a community of Mesolithic humans living near ancient Kents Cavern. Dropped into a world of violence, rape, ugly death and harsh retribution, six weeks suddenly seems like a very long time.

  • Gerry Tales: How I Lived Happily Ever After, Despite Stabbing Myself in the Back, Scalding My Cojones, and Really Pissing Off My Wife During Childbirth on March 23, 2011

For the most part, this book was excellently and humorously written. I laughed out loud throughout, provoking odd looks from my husband and daughters who kept asking what I was laughing at. I give it 4 stars out of 5 as there is a chunk in the middle taken up with detailed descriptions of the author's sons' achievements in their school basketball and baseball games. As an almost 40-year-old English lady, I have little idea about and less interest in the aforementioned sports so I found that section rather dull - sorry! But once through that there are still some gems and a heart-stopping moment on the other side so it is well worth reading. And if you like basketball and baseball, so much the better!

I thought this book was great. Written in a very readable narrative style, although I would make a tiny suggestion that it be formatted right-justified as it makes for easier reading on smaller devices such as iPhones. However, once my eyes adjusted to the formatting, the storyline was excellent, compelling and interesting. The characters are lovable - or hatable, as appropriate - and Lindsay is a fantastically strong and well-drawn character.
  • My Life as a Sex-o-Gram: Book One on July 10, 2011

I wasn't expecting it to be quite so saucy, but wow this packs a punch!! Very sexy and excellently-written, Nikki gives us tale after no-holds-barred tale of naughty, sexy, shocking episodes in her unusual life. More please!!
