This book was a great read. Even though it's focus is tween/teen age, I loved every minute of it. It threw me back to jr high and all the insecurites we felt and still feel as woman. The warped self image of a teen who lost weight but still thinks in "fat" mode, the bully who hogs your locker area until you've had enough and stand up to them, the jock you think you love who is really a jerk loser, the hottest guy in school who can "no way" REALLY like you, and then we have the three best friends who all have different paranormal abilities that are growing more intense. Can not wait to dive into A.J.'s story next!!!!!

This was an awesome prelude to the Keeper of the Stones series, and the one I read first. It has vivid characters, a girl with awesome super natural powers she is just learning to use, jealous witches, one true love, and a battle to fight in order to find safe haven for them both. A bonus of background on the key players (goddesses and creators) for the entire series. A must read!!!

This is a captivating fantasy tale that will have you turning page after page wanting more. The characters are so well described they make you feel what they are going through, all the trials, situations, and danger they face. You have a few hero's, some bad witch's, and a world that is changing environmentally. Markus at first has you wanting to smack him to get his attention to his brother's suffering and put a stop to it, his uncaring attitude towards animals that triggers the curse, and yet once faced with the possibility of never seeing his brother again, he changes and learns compassion. By the end of this novel you will love the characters and be cheering for their triumph. The only thing that's hard is waiting on the next one to be completed!!!

A.J.has a paranormal ability and it is a doozy! she can see the future. Trouble with a mom who she fights with at every turn, annoying older brother who can do no wrong, a strange (to her family and friends) boyfriend, a vision she's in a race against time to prevent and two best friends who will stay by her side no matter what!! Has ALL the ingredients of a GREAT adventure!!!!! This is a MUST read!!!!!! Could not put down!!!
  • Visions of the Witch on April 24, 2013

This book was number 4 in the Whispers series. I loved this one the most out of the series. Everything that was written in the past three books, getting to know the girls and their stories, really come together in this one. They start to use and learn more of their powers. Trying to learn to control them and at the same time playing around with them, seeing what they can do, testing the limits and boundaries if their magic. I love mysterious Ethan and the way he helps Sophie while her BFF's are in Salem with AJ' great aunt who is also a teacher if whitchlings. Also tony that AJ is attracted to who is also in a coven, where they do not have to hide what they can do. Krysta learning a little of her ancestry and having that lost connection. You absolutely have to read this series and I am waiting on pins and needles for the 5th book coming soon (maybe next month I hear!)
  • Disarming on July 03, 2013

This book is fantabulous (yes I know it's not a real word but I don't care lol), it picks up right where Reign of Blood left off. April has a lot more to deal with internally and externally in this one. She's got her family back but they are changed by the time spent as captives in the other hybrid group ran by deliriously sick Christian. And who wouldn't? Being tortured would change everyone! But mom is acting stranger day by day. Rye is trying to be patient and supportive while April gets her emotions under control and decides if she wants to take things further. Some don't like that she doesn't jump in first with him but I totally get it. The world has changed, her family has changed, she is kick butt BUT she is still 17 emotionally. Why wouldn't the bonding forever talk scare her a little especially to a hybrid vampire (yes he's smoking hot but still a vampire) especially when she's not exactly sure what she is herself. In come other humans. Are they normal? Like her? Hybrids? She must learn more on this band of people. New characters are introduced, old ones come back, we see different perspectives, and a lot of action and twists that will leave you crying out for more when you reach the end! Can't wait for the third installment later this year I believe. Oh and as a side note, I told my family what this book was about and the kids said it should be a movie and they would go see it, I concur totally!!!
  • Ever Shade (A Dark Faerie Tale #1) on Aug. 06, 2013

Shade is part fey and part human. No one knows exactly what type if fey and powers she has. She is a 17 year old girl thrown into the Fairy world and sent on a quest thy only he can accomplish to give the seelie courts a chance against the unseelie courts plan for war that would spill over into the human world. She ends up with an entourage of warriors to help keep her safe on this quest. There is danger, attempted murder, and peril at every turn for Shade. She really comes to find out things about herself she never knew before. The characters have great personalities and even better sense if humors. You will be pulled into this world you can almost touch and yearning for the next book to see what happens next.
