Carolyn Geraci


Carolyn Geraci, who is originally from East Texas, started writing poetry while in elementary school. In the past few years she has been experimenting with short stories and essays. Carolyn brings her love of language to her middle school English classroom. To encourage students to showcase their work, she hosts an annual Poetry Fest at her school. Her work has appeared in The Legendary.

Weaving raw emotion and honest self-assessment, the poet allows us a glimpse into her life. Sometimes what seems to be a mundane existence on the surface is actually a pot boiling over with lost dreams and disappointments. The mask we wear to deceive others may also help us pretend everything is okay, but in the end, we need to face reality in order to find contentment.
