Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in primarily in Maryland. The settings for almost all of my books are local cities and streets I haunted (and still haunt) frequently. Places that I've always wanted to read more about, but seemed too far off the map to get any widespread recognition.
When did you first start writing?
I've always been a good liar which is great practice to creative writing, but I guess it was junior year in high school where I really got the bug. I carried a journal of soppy poems around with me all the time. I had the foresight to burn them soon after and I (and the rest of the world) shall forever remain grateful.
