Weaver Book Company began in 2013 as the result of the vision of Jim Weaver, who has more than 25 years of experience in Christian academic publishing. After graduating from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 1987, he then worked for the academic division of Baker Book House, Kregel Publications, and Thomas Nelson before embarking on his own. His passion is to take the riches of the academy and make them accessible to the church. Jim has two daughters and three grandchildren. When not working on his publications, he enjoys golfing, listening and playing bluegrass gospel music, and reading.
A faithful and edifying exposition of key chapters or sections of the Bible that speak of the glories of creation. It represents an ideal resource for pastors who want to preach a series on creation. And with its use of study questions, it can be used with profit for group Bible study.
The book introduces Christians to the book of Revelation through a study of one of its key themes: victory. Running counter to Revelation’s prevailing interpretation, it proposes that Christians, represented by the audience in the Seven Churches, have been in tribulation since the first century and that Revelation was written to help Christians be victorious over the challenges of life.
A passionate plea to make the Bible central in the Christian life. Unlike most books about the Bible, the author digs deep to uncover the motivations and distractions that keep Christians from engaging with the Bible. But he does more than just point out the problems; he lovingly offers solutions in order to learn, value, understand, apply, obey, and speak the Bible.
