Jerry Willbur


Dr. Jerry Willbur has consulted nationally and internationally with large multi-billion dollar organizations such as S.C. Johnson, the ServiceMaster Company, Fujitsu I.T. Consulting, etc. and has also created and led several successful startups in the healthcare and high tech fields. He is an award-winning, internationally known researcher and implementer with a well earned reputation as a culture doctor. He helps create high performance cultures. He does this by developing effective leadership teams using a customized, structured mentoring strategy.

Jerry has a doctorate in Human Resource Development, and a BA and MA in Psychology. His doctoral dissertation entitled: “Achievement Motivation and Mentoring as Predictors of Career Success” was selected by the American Society of Training and Development as the best research in the field of Human Resource Development. Because of his research in the field of mentoring he was selected as Vice president of the International Mentoring Association, serving for eleven years, and was also named to the Imperial College of London/British Petroleum mentoring advisory board for science and engineering. His leadership and mentoring research was also recognized as a vital contribution to the field by the International Centre for Mentoring, in Vancouver, BC as well as by the Uncommon Individual Foundation. One of his startups, that developed mentoring software, was a National Chamber of Commerce Blue Chip award-winner as one of the top five fast growth companies of the year, and also served as the national mentoring model for the US Department of Education and won several other national awards for assisting resilient learners. He has also been asked to guest lecture at the University of Washington, Oregon Health Sciences University, and several of the University of California among others, as well as assisting with case studies at both the Harvard Business School and Harvard’s JFK School of Government.

Currently he serves as the CEO of The Leadership Mentoring Institute (, as well as Senior Vice President, Chief Talent Officer for the Delta Management Group, a consulting company that has served several leading university medical centers such as UCLA and the Ohio State University Medical Center, as well as many leading catholic healthcare systems. He is also a co-founder of Gentech Dentist ( a leading innovator and provider of high tech, digital, ‘paperless’ dentistry in the USA. He currently serves as a founding board member for WaveQ ( ), a successful high tech company in the cloud computing and software as a service markets. He also serves as a director for the Live Your Dream Foundation, dedicated to creating life opportunities for resilient learners.
