Kalita Kasar lives in a world of her own, somewhere in Australia. Her vivid imagination often carries her away to far off places and distant times. When this happens, Kal thinks it is only fair to share her adventures with others. So she turns them into books.
What do you read for pleasure?
I have eclectic tastes ranging from glbt romance and erotica, to history books and cook books. Most of the time you will find me curled up with a good fiction book and a block of chocolate, though. As long as the story line is engaging I'm happy!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I come from an Irish/Welsh background and lived in a family of story tellers. One of our favourite pass times was to tell progressive stories around a camp fire, or in front of a blazing hearth at my uncle's home or my grand father's camp sites. The smell of wood smoke, the murmur of voices and the magic of creating a world, a story and people to live within it...that's what has turned me into the writer I am today.
