Like others here, I was driven crazy by the lack of editing on this story. I wound up taking notes on all the errors just to make me feel better about reading it. That said, I really enjoyed the story. A.M. Burns writes great action scenes and lovely, tender romantic scenes.
He needs help with better characterization though. Our heroes Ethan and Dusty are well-drawn, but other characters are not given enough attention. When I found out who done it at the end, I was not convinced about motivations because the villains were not drawn thoroughly enough.
A. M. Burns has a fine, clear writing voice and is an engaging storyteller, but he needs to hone his craft with a little help from folks more schooled in grammar, spelling, and word usage.
