Under various pseudonyms, aliases, and pen names, Ecs has had several novels published and has published stories in Southern Review, Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine, Highlights for Children, and many others. Ecs was also vigorously involved with editing and writing for The Snap Magazine and for four years was editorial assistant for The Journal of the American Statistical Association.
Behind a curtain of bushes and trees, hidden from the casual view of passersby, Ecs lives in Florida with an extended family and diverse pets including feline, canine, and a muster (or ostentation) of peacocks, a bunch of guineas, and a few cockatiels. These are only the tame creatures that inhabit the hidden retreat; there are, on the wild side, raccoons, opossums, foxes, squirrels, rabbits, armadillos, and reptiles both venomous and harmless. Wild birds also frequent the premises to dine at various feeding and watering stations. It’s a paradise, for sure, unless it gets cold or a hurricane blows through.
Ecs is currently working on a new novel, THE TORMENT OF MURDERI.

This is a delightful fictional biography that begins with the birth of Tabitha and continues through her life as she faces the trials and tribulations, joys and successes that most of us experience. You will want to read this book more than once.
The Practice of Murder
A cool sociopathic killer gives Pauley fits in Mesalinda, Texas. To make matters worse, his pregnant wife wants him to give up his job as a homicide detective. Meanwhile, Elizabeth plays games with the police force -- can she win? This chilling novel will take readers on a journey that will leave them forever changed. Doors and windows will be locked because someone could be out there -- waiting.
A Glitch in Crime
Delightful from beginning to end, this rollicking jewel of a book introduces Alma, Radmilla Dillon, July Morningstar, and Grace as they form a nameless gang. They don't want to commit crime against anyone who doesn't deserve it. This decision leads to a complex and funny quest for gain that includes a long lost chess set, the rich and selfish Walter Wellington Biddlesford-Wight, and even the pope.
